Brief Description:

The contractor sales staff is primarily responsible for the “in house” selling and will work in a team oriented office setting. The position generally assists the general contractor but also fields calls from a variety of other customers on the phone, in person, and over the net. Knowledge of lumber, building materials, millwork, and construction methods are required. Sales, estimating, jobsite visits, product research, pricing, prospecting, placing orders, problem solving, negotiation, trade show attendance, and other tasks are all normal activities during the week. The position is physically challenging and requires assisting with the loading or unloading material for both customers and vendors. Good communication skills, attention to detail and ability to go beyond the call of duty are required for success. Sales incentives including commission available to the high achievers
